The Nagy saving for us

Solar Energy

The troubles regarding Energy deprivation and developing countries go side by side. Load shedding remains a consistent issue. The cherry on top, the electricity rates are not lowering down and are not even expected to be. Solar energy, as a renewable alternative, is not only reliable, safe and super-efficient, yet also the one of the permanent solutions to fight against the ever-increasing global warming and the dilemma of climate change and save the environment.

The significance of the sunlight for a general sustainable life has been known since forever, yet the idea of utilizing the Sun as a major energy producer via PV technology has been on the rise now, and considering the never stopping advancement in technologies and the never-ending sunshine, it cannot be lessened anytime in the future.

Apart from the environmental concern, there is always a financial concern associated with the consumers as a major barrier. Considering an initial capital, consumers need to make sure that whatever technology and brands they are going with, should be worth the financial trouble and investment, to be a fruitful one, in the bigger picture.

Solexo Energy believes in the long-term quality goal rather than short-term saving. Sheer transparency, customer commitment and satisfaction, and promotion of green energy for a green environment is the ultimate goal.

Types of Solar Panels

Solar Cell / Panels work with the basic Photovoltaic Effect (PV technology). Conventionally, using semi-conductors, utilizing the incident irradiation, converting the sunshine to direct current (DC), which then is converted to usable alternating current (AC) with the inverters.

Every type of solar panels has their own characteristics, significance, pros and respective cons.

There are three generations of solar cells, out of which first generation has been the most applicable, currently.

  1. First generation

Crystalline Solar Cell

  1. Mono-Crystalline
  2. Poly-Crystalline.
  1. Second generation
    1. Amorphous Silicon Solar Cells
    2. Chalcogenides

  1. Third Generation
    1. Multi-Junction Solar Cell
    2. Perovskite Solar Cells
  • Organic Solar Cells

A broader and detailed overview of the first-generation Solar cell technology is given below:

The purpose of both of the kinds of first-generation solar technology remains the same i.e., converting the incident rays of sunlight to electricity.

Mono-Crystalline Solar Cell

Just like the name suggests, mono-crystalline cell is made up of a single silicon wafer or a cell, making it a premium kind. The basic element because of a single cell, flow of current that has been produced has more room for the mobility which makes them more efficient.

  • Higher on the efficiency side, ranging from 15-20%, which typically makes them more space-efficient.
  • Compared to the other kind, mono-crystalline cells work even better in warmer temperature.
  • Due to their higher efficiency in warmer temperatures, their lifetime becomes longer, 25 and more.
  • Performs well enough at even low-light conditions, compared to the respective poly-crystalline ones.
  • Aesthetically pleasing.
  • Cost more than Poly-Crystalline Solar cells.

Poly-Crystalline Solar Cells

Unlike mono-crystalline cells, poly-crystalline solar cells are made up of more than one silicon fragments, which makes the mobility of free electrons and photos comparatively less spacious, than mono-crystalline ones.

  • Less costly, as compared to the mono-crystalline ones.
  • They are manufactured by melting the raw silicon, which is faster as well, apart from being a little cost saving comparing to mono-crystalline ones.
  • Works well in less warm environment.
  • Life-time of around 25 years.
